Our Mission

The mission of the Duhok Center is to widely promote and enhance environmental awareness by designing and implementing educational, training, and practical programs targeting various segments of society. These initiatives aim to foster environmental consciousness and a sense of individual and collective responsibility toward nature. The center also develops and carries out practical projects to protect mountain environments, such as tree planting, trail clean-ups, and the creation of sustainable tourism paths. In addition, it builds effective partnerships with government bodies and international organizations to ensure the continuity and impact of these efforts. Special emphasis is placed on empowering the local community to be a key partner in protecting its environment and an active participant in environmental decision-making. This approach supports a development vision rooted in respect for nature and the promotion of sustainable eco-tourism in the mountains of Kurdistan.
